CosmicBreak is a 3D MMO third person shooter (MMOTPS) featuring anime style characters, big robots, and open-ended player character customization. Gameplay revolves around the PvP Arena, where teams of players battle it out in an effort to earn money, experience, and points for their respective Unions. Players may also take part in missions against NPC robots, team up to fight huge enemy bosses, and explore the massive Quest Area in search of items and treasure. Success in CosmicBreak calls for more than simple level grinding; players must learn the strengths and weaknesses of their enemies and customize their own forces accordingly. Likewise, victory in the Arena depends not only on the strength of individual team members but more so on their use of good team strategy.

3. Game Features:

Arena Mode featuring massive PvP battles

The PvP Arena Mode features fast-paced team battles of up to 30 vs. 30 at one time. Elements such as medic-like repair robots and firepower boosting “power spots” for each side encourage the use of team tactics. Player created “Team Fight” rooms also allow for special modes such as Capture the Flag.

Mission Mode and Quest Mode

Players may battle against teams of NPCs in Mission Mode, or go treasure hunting on a large unexplored planet in Quest Mode. Special Boss Quests featuring enormous enemy boss robots also exist. All non-PvP modes may be played alone or together with a party of other players.

4. What is unique:

High variety of player character robots

CosmicBreak currently features well over 50 unique player character robots, and new robots are being developed all the time. Each robot has its own special parts with unique abilities, and each fulfills a different role on the battlefield.

Open-ended robot customization

Players are free to mix, match, disassemble, and rebuild their robots however they see fit. Experimenting with a variety of parts and weapons plays an important role in developing stronger robots and gaining an edge over other players in the Arena. Leveling up allows robots to learn special abilities, and individual parts/weapons are upgraded using the special “Tune Up” system. Robots may also be custom painted using the Skin Editor, and some parts may even be reshaped using the Polygon Editor.
