Oceanopolis is a peaceful world full of islands. But danger lurks nearby. The islands are near massive ocean garbage patch, called a gyre. It threatens your island with litter and waste. Cans, bottles and other things are tossed aside and dumped into our oceans every day. Much of it ends up swirling around in ocean gyres. garbage from the gyre washes up on our shores every day. But you can collect the trash, clean up your island and find out how to make the trash you collect useful.

Take Care of your island!

Collect the trash you find on your island and take it to the Greennopolis Recycling Kiosk. At the Kiosk, you will earn coins and other great rewards for your efforts. In Oceanopolis, you will find many ways to recycle and reuse what you find and turn that trash into treasure. To get started, have a look around your island and pick up any trash you find. Then Visit the Greenopolis Recycling Kiosk.

Greenopolis is rolling out thousands of Recycling Kiosks across the United States and around the world to help solve our plastics problems and help you recycle more effectively. And best of all, when you recycle in the real world, you get Greenopolis Rewards points that can be turned into game coins in Oceanopolis!

When your pockets (or backpack) are full, you have to go to the Greenpolis Recycling Kiosk. Clicking the Kiosk will bring up the navigation screen and you simply walk through the steps to recycle your items. You will recycle 10 items at a time, so if you have less than 10 of any item, you’ll have to wait until you’ve picked up more.

Once you’ve finished recycling, you get a receipt that shows you how many coins you’ve earned.

Everybody needs clean water to survive, and this is no different in Oceanopolis. You can use your rain barrel to collect rainwater every 24 hours. Clicking the rainbarrel, will allow you to go around your island and water your plants and trees to keep them healthy. And when they’re healthy, they’ll produce the food you need to stay healthy.

Like water, we all need food to survive, as well. You stay healthy by populating your island with plants and keeping those plants healthy by giving them fresh water. Sunflowers and Palm Trees produce the food you need to stay healthy, so keep them watered and in good shape.
