BrainNook is the first online virtual world that helps children aged 6 to 10 develop Math and English skills. Children strengthen these skills in BrainNook by playing fun educational games, while exploring colourful virtual worlds based on different regions of the Earth. All games are based on Math and English Grammar concepts and are mapped to the California State Board content standards for Grades 1-5. Each game can be played in single-player mode or head-to-head against other players.

Children will start out with access to only a few worlds and the easiest games, and must unlock new worlds and more difficult games by building up their Math and Language skill level. Each world introduces children to a new area of the Earth through interesting facts, questions and artifacts from that region.

BrainNook offers a safe way for children to learn online through play. Parents can keep track of their children’s use of BrainNook through the online Parental Control Panel. The Parental Control Panel offers parents an easy-to-understand snapshot of where their children have been spending time in BrainNook, helping them understand their children’s interests and strengths.

The beta program for BrainNook Online will go live later August 2010, but you can sign up at the official website at http://www.brainnook.com. All beta testers will receive a free 6-month premium subscription to BrainNook.
